
Diana Patel is an experienced development specialist with a strong background in resource mobilization and localization. As a founding member of Envision, a local NGO, she played a key role in shaping the organization’s mission and strategies, drawing on her expertise in resource mobilization and localization. Diana’s 12 years of leadership as Deputy Director at OPHID have equipped her with deep insights into the challenges and best practices of supporting community-led development initiatives. She is well-versed in identifying and leveraging local resources, forging strategic partnerships, and empowering grassroots organizations to drive sustainable change. Throughout her career, Diana has combined her academic expertise with a passion for translating research into real-world impact. Her 35 years of teaching at the University of Zimbabwe have allowed her to cultivate the next generation of development professionals, instilling in them the importance of community-centered approaches and innovative funding models. In her current role at Envision, Diana continues to draw on her extensive knowledge and networks to mobilize resources and foster localized solutions to complex public health and development challenges.
